experience in speech and language technologies, as well as a proven
track record of successfully bringing emerging technology-based

and services to market. Beyond this, the team has a broad range of
experiences including speech recognition, Internet communications,
email marketing infrastructure, telephony, and CRM.
Roger L. Matus
Founder and Chief Executive
Roger Matus brings more than 20 years of high tech experience to
InBoxer. Combining a unique blend of marketing and technology
expertise, he has successfully brought dozens of innovative products
to market including personal computer hardware, video boards, speech
recognition software, internet telephony services and audio conferencing
equipment. He served as Executive Vice President for WebReply.Com,
Chief Marketing Officer for Octave Communications, Vice President
of New Products and Technologies for iBasis and both Vice President
of New Products and Technologies and Vice President of North American
Marketing for Dragon Systems. He also held a series of positions
at the Digital Equipment Corporation and ATI Technologies. Mr. Matus has an MBA from the University of Chicago, an M.S. in Engineering from Boston University, and a B.A. in Journalism from Syracuse University.
Sean D. True
Founder and Chief Technologist
Sean True brings more than a decade of experience building easy-to-use
systems based on complex technologies, such as artificial intelligence,
natural language processing, and speech recognition. He is Chief
Technical Officer for WebReply.com, a company that specializes in
email delivery using anti-SPAM techniques and the creation of individualized
custom web sites.
Prior to joining WebReply, Mr. True served in a variety of positions
at Dragon Systems, including Director of Development. He directed
the team that created Dragon's AudioMining product, a key technology
used and licensed by Audiotrieve, LLC. From 1989 to 1994, he served as
Director of Research and Development at Rational Systems, a provider
of advanced systems software for Intel platforms. Prior to that,
he founded Obsidian Computers, Inc., where he developed a family
of real-time data acquisition and control servers based on distributed
computing technology. Mr. True holds a B.A. degree in Biopsychology
from Earlham College and spent several years at M.I.T. working on
biological and machine
vision.
Glenn Champagne
Vice President of Sales
Glenn brings more than 20 years of experience in the software industry focusing in sales and consulting. Glenn is a founding member of the Boston offices of Oracle Corporation and Business Objects. He was also Director of Technical Services for Eprise Corporation , and a Principle with IBM/Tivoli.
Glenn comes to us from DataPoint Ventures, an investment organization funding innovative emerging technology-driven companies solving real business problems. He is an active investor and serves on the Board of Directors of Launchpad Venture Group and several advisory boards to several Boston-area emerging technology companies.
For six years running, Glenn volunteers weekly at Children's Hospital Boston playing with children with cancers. He is an avid skier and enjoys Porsche club autocross racing.

Josh Kopelman
Managing Director, First Round Capital
While still an undergraduate at Wharton, Josh cofounded Infonautics Corporation with entrepreneur Marvin Weinberger. In 1996, Infonautics went public on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Josh left Infonautics to found Half.com in July of 1999, and led it to become one of the largest sellers of used books, movies and music in the world. Half.com was acquired by eBay in July 2000 in a stock deal valued at the time at more than $300 million -- and Josh remained with eBay for three years, running the Half.com business unit and growing eBay's Media marketplace to almost half a billion dollars in annual gross merchandise sales
In early 2004 Josh helped to found TurnTide, an anti-spam company that had created the world's first anti-spam router. TurnTide was acquired by Symantec just six months later for an estimated $28 million.
James Woodward
James L. Woodward has over 30 years of high tech management experience. He has been the first CFO of eight successful companies including Iris Graphics (sold to Scitex for $31 million), Computer Access (Lotus), Exos (Microsoft), and ActualSoft (Palm). Jim has raised over $20 million in VC and has been CFO of several public companies. He is currently VP Finance or a Director of several companies and a member of the Launchpad Angel Group.
He has been involved since 1980 in the MIT Enterprise Forum in a variety of roles including Chair. For ten years he has written a monthly column on entrepreneurship for the Forum Reporter.
He is Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Finance Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and is a member of the Finance Committee of the Massachusetts Council of Churches. He has an MBA with Distinction from Harvard and a BA from Cornell. Jim and his wife, Dee, sailed around the world from 1995 to 1998. |
