InBoxer has disappeared! What should I do?

If the buttons and InBoxer menu have vanished, it may be because Outlook disabled it. Under certain circumstances, Outlook may disable one or all add-ins when there are problems with Outlook. These problems may have nothing to do with InBoxer at all. Simply enabling InBoxer will make everything work again.

To enable InBoxer within Outlook 2002/XP/2003, take the following steps:

• Open Outlook.
• Click on Help
• Click on About Microsoft Outlook. A menu similar to this one will appear:



. Click on the Disabled Items button. If InBoxer is listed, click to enable and then exit and restart Outlook

To enable InBoxer within Outlook 2002/XP/2003, take the following steps:

• Open Outlook
• Select the Tools menu
• Clock on Options.
• Click on Other.
• Click On Advanced Options.
• Clock on Com Add-ins.
• If InBoxer is not checked, check the box and restart Outlook

If these steps do not work, there are a few steps that can be taken to automatically repair InBoxer.

Try the InBoxer repair program. (Note: The program supports version 1.2 or later.) Download the program from http://www.in-boxer.com/InBoxerRepair.exe and follow the instructions. This program fixes most problems.

If this does not solve the problem, a registry entry may need to be changed. Make sure that you are confident that and you are comfortable editing registry entries. Also, before making any changes to your registry, please make a back-up copy of your registry. (If you are not comfortable editing your registry, skip this step.)

Check the "LoadBehavior" registry entry at:

\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\SpamBayes.Outlook Addin.

Then, very carefully, LoadBehavior should have a value of 3. If it doesn't. change it to 3, restart your computer and try again.

Finally, if the problem continues, please send a message to InBoxer support using START -> PROGRAMS -> INBOXER OUTLOOK ADD-IN -> EMAIL TECHNICAL SUPPORT. This step creates an email message and attaches log files that will enable InBoxer to diagnose your problem. Otherwise, contact InBoxer support at support@inboxer.com.
